Carmen Feliciano January 16, 2010

We invite family and friends to sign the guestbook

From:  Olga I Leiva

I am in a state of loss, I just got the news about your parents' passing. Two wonderful, dear and well loved people, who were outstanding parents and pillars in our community. It was my pleasure to have worked with them in the Bridgeport Community and to share proud moments with them as we spoke about their children, my students. I know they will be sorely missed, but fondly remembered as two wonderful, loving people and great parents. My thoughts and prayers are with you and may God take them under His Holy Arms.

My deepest sympathy for the death of your parents. God bless all of you and keep you. Your mother was such a beautiful mother figure and excellent human being. She is with God and is one of his celestial Angels.

I have been at a loss of words since I heard the news. I haven't stopped crying since I found out about this. Those of you who knew Carmen could see her strength and inner beauty shine through. She was a mother, wife, and friend to so many people. I have such fond memories of her, growing up and spending time with her daughter Marisol. Marisol said it so beautifully, we are who we are because of our mothers. Carmen has taught us to love, work hard everyday and, above all, to be strong and persevere. Her children must be so proud to have had her for their mother. I am so sorry for your loss. Everytime I see a beautiful garden, I will think of her peaceful soul. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Carmen, I will miss you terribly! You were an amazing neighbor. When I plant my tomatoes in the summer, I will think of you and all the gardening tips that you shared with me. I will remember the snow storm where we helped Markesha dig out and you reminded us not to work too hard since we weren't used to the exercise. In my 13 years in my house, you came and helped me when I was in my car accident. You mowed the lawn, trimmed the hedges, swept the sidewalk and so much more. Your gardens were spectacular and the Christmas creche told me about your quiet faith. Not only did you raise and love your family but you took care of all of us on the block, too. My heart is broken that I will no longer see your smiling face at 5:30 AM weeding the gardens and waving hello to greet the day. I know that you missed your sister and now you will rest in peace with her.
