Isidro Velazquez Feliciano

Isidro Velazquez Feliciano, age 77, of Bridgeport, died January 16, 2010. Born in Yauco, Puerto Rico. He actively volunteered in the Bridgeport Public school system his favorite passtime was word search, puzzles and he was a man of many trades. He was an avidNew York Yankees and Mets fan. He participated in the Puerto Rican Coalition, he was president of the Bridgeport PAC, involved in the Bridgeport school segreation lawsuit. He was predeceased by his parents, Eugenio Feliciano and Tomasa Velazquez. Survivors include his children, Rafeal Enrique Feliciano and his wife, Marisol, Liliam Feliciano, Junior Feliciano and his wife, Elba, Mayra Feliciano Negron- and her husband, Chris Edgar Omar Feliciano, Solimar Feliciano Marisol Feliciano and her boyfriend, Douglas Haddad, Lemar Feliciano and his wife, Maritza, Waldemar Feliciano; in addition to his children he is also survived by his brother, Eddie Caraballo; his sister,Emma Feliciano (living) Celia Feliciano; his 10 grandchildren, Rafael III, Giovanni, Christian, Daniel, Anthony, Janelle, Crystal, Julissa, Justin and Juliana. In addition to his parents, he was predeceaed by his brother, Rual Irrizary; and his sister, Nolin Feliciano. Fond Memories of Our Father from Junior and Mayra: My Father, what can I say, He taught me "Respect and you will be respected, Love and you will be loved." From Junior, Rest in Peace my Father I will always love you. My Father the man who has taught me alot that I know today. Mr handyman always inventing and coming up with something new. dad you will always be missed. Love your daughter, Mayra.

Funeral Information

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. in St Andrew's Church. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Calling hours on Tuesday after 11:30 a.m. in the Commerce Hill Funeral Home, 4798 Main St Bridgeport.

Donations Information

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Swim Across the Sound, care of St Vincent's Hospital.
