Albert Nassra

March 15, 1928 - February 16, 2010

Albert G. Nassra, age 81, of Bridgeport, beloved husband of 50 years, to Amira Rizk Nassra, died peacefully on Tuesday, February 16, 2010. He was the son of the late George and Evangelia Karioktes Nassra, he was a resident of Bridgeport for more than 47 years. He was the proprietor of the Hilltop News and Variety Grocery Store in Ansonia for the past 12 years. Survivors in addition to his devoted wife, Amira, are his children, Maggy Lima of Bridgeport, Vera O'Brien and her husband, Christopher of Ansonia, George Nassra, Oliver Nassra and his wife, Dawn of Naugatuck; seven grandchildren, Johnny and Patrick Meehan, Chris J., Shannon and Cody O'Brien, Justin and Noureen Nassra; two sisters, Eleni Makaloudis and her husband, John and Georgette Nassra all of Athens, Greece; and several nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to go "Directly" to St. Nicholas Antiochian Orthodox Church, 5458 Park Avenue, Bridgeport, on Friday at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Romanos Malouf officiating the Rite of Burial. Internment immediately following at Mt. Grove Cemetery, Bridgeport. Calling hours are Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. in the Commerce Hill Funeral Home, 4798 Main Street, Bridgeport. with Trisagion Services at 5 p.m. in the funeral home.
