Florence Dougiello

Florence Dougiello, age 93 of Ossining, N.Y., passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 21, 2010 in Phelps Memorial Hospital in Sleepy Hollow, N.Y. Born in Bridgeport, she resided in New York for 10 years. She was a graduate of Butler Business School and a member of its sorority, Beta Iota Sigma. Florence worked for the Navy Defense Logistic Agency at Sikorsky Aircraft for 32 years. Survivors include her beloved daughter, Carol A. Cappiello and husband, Richard of Ossining, N.Y.; three grandchildren, Christopher Cappiello of New York, Rod Cappiello and wife, Gretchen of Wilmette, Ill. and Kendall Cappiello of Winter Park, Fla.; great-grandson, Louis J. Cappiello II; a brother, Charles J. Dougiello of Bridgeport; and a sister, Ann Dougiello Eckert of Arizona. She was prede-ceased by her parents, Kazimieraz and Nellie Ross Dougiello and brother, Edmund Dougiello.

Funeral Information

A graveside service will take place on Friday at 1 p.m. in St. Michael's Cemetery, Stratford. A memorial service will take place at a later date in the main chapel of the Maryknoll Catholic Foreign Missions in Ossining, N.Y. The Commerce Hill Charles Dougiello & Sons Funeral Home, 4798 Main Street, Bridgeport is in charge of local arrangements.
