Robert Satmary

March 13, 1935 - February 23, 2010

Robert R. Satmary, age 74 of Winter Garden, Fla., previously of Easton, beloved husband of 74 years to the late Joan Sabitsky Satmary, died peacefully on Tuesday, February 23, 2010 at his residence in Florida. Born in the Bronx, NY, he was the son of the late Peter and Margaret Coester Satmary. A resident of Easton for more than 30 years, Bob moved to Florida in 1997. He was the former proprietor of Bob Satmary's Appliance and Service Center for more than 40 years. A veteran of the Korean War, he served in the Army Infantry. A devoted father and grandfather, he will be missed by all. Survivors include his beloved children, Diane Abresky of Florida, Donna Zupsansky and husband, Gary of Milford, Robert Satmary and wife, Donna of Florida and Debra Satmary of Florida; a brother, Peter Satmary and wife, Jane of Florida; a caring and faithful brother-in-law, Stanley Sabitsky of Shelton; seven grandchildren: and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Information

Friends are invited to attend the funeral services on Monday at 9 a.m. in the funeral home, followed by entombment with full military honors in Mt. Grove Cemetery, Bridgeport. Calling hours on Sunday from 4 to 7 p.m. in the Commerce Hill Radozycki Funeral Home, 4798 Main ST., Bridgeport.
