Irene Reed

August 18, 1946 - February 24, 2010

Irene K. Reed, age 63 of Trumbull, beloved mother of Eric Reed and devoted daughter of Zofia Wegiel Kiman, died peacefully on Wednesday, February 24, 2010. Born in Bridgeport, she was a Trumbull resident for more than eight years. An employee of the State of Connecticut, she worked in the Department of Aqua Culture for the past 11 years. The family would like to acknowledge a special note of appreciation to Bridgeport Hospital, Tower 7 for their care and compassion. Survivors in addition to her son and mother are two sisters, Gladys Doran of Shelton and Christine Bierwirth and her husband, Alan of Milford; three nephews, James Doran and wife, Gai, Stephen and Matthew Bierwirth; and a niece, Kristina Abbati and husband, Keith; two great-nieces; and three great-nephews. She was predeceased by her father, Joseph Kiman.

Funeral Information

Friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Monday at 10 a.m. in St. Michael the Archangel Church followed by interment in Lakeview Cemetery. Calling hours are on Sunday from 3 to 7 p.m. in the Frank M. Radozycki Funeral Home, 305 Pulaski St., Bridgeport.
