Obituary

It is with great sadness that our family announces that Christine Cooper, age 75, of Bridgeport, beloved wife of John (Jack) Cooper, passed away on Saturday, April 4, 2020 while convalescing at Cambridge Health & Rehabilitation Center. Born in Jamaica, Queens on December 29, 1945, she was the daughter of the late Mr. Thomas Martin and Mrs. Amelia Maldonado Martin. Christine touched the hearts of everyone that knew her and will be greatly missed.

Survivors in addition to her loving husband, John, include two beloved daughters and a son; Deborah Burg and her husband Rick Burg of Punta Gorda, Florida, Kimberly Cooper of Bridgeport and John Cooper of Derby; six grandchildren Kelli Kearns and her husband, James, Bryan Swain, Breanna Swain, Jaycie Cooper, Nicole Burg; and a great grandchild Isaiah.

Due to the concerns about social gatherings affecting us all at this time, funeral and interment services will be held privately for the immediate family. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Commerce Hill Funeral Home, 4798 Main St, Bridgeport, CT. In lieu of flowers the family encourages donations to American Diabetes Association. Donations can be made at: WWW.DIABETES.ORG
