Mr. Gregory Williams also known as Poke was born December 17, 1953, in Martin County to the late George Thomas and Mary Williams. He departed this life on Monday October 10, 2022, at St. Francis Hospital in Connecticut.
Gregory received his formal education in Martin County Schools. He worked with a construction company which lead him to a new place to call home in Bridgeport, Connecticut. Gregory loved his family more importantly his children.
He was preceding in death by his brothers: Larry Williams, Donald, Thomas “Pete” Williams, and Herbert Williams; Four Sisters: Terry Williams, Lolita Washington, Lenora Williams, and Michelle Williams.
He leaves to cherish his memories: Daughters: Toniqua Moore of Greenville N.C., Majustica Williams of Charlotte, NC, and Nakey Williams of Greenville, N.C.; Son: McKenly Williams of Houston, Texas; Brother: Ronald Williams (Atethea) of Williamston NC; Sister: Gwendolyn Wooten (Wayne) of Knightdale NC; Granchildren: Phillip, Quincey, Raegan, Isiah, KJ, and Navey; Great Grandchildren: Bryson, Nasir, Bella Rose, and Baily all of Greenville, N.C.; Aunt: Chaney Hagan of Hampton VA; Brother-in-law: George Washington of Williamston, NC; Special Friend: Richard Williams (Bumpball) and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and a friends.
Calling hours will take place on Saturday, October 22, 2022 from 1:00 PM to 2:45 PM in United Holy Church of Deliverance, 611 Warren Street, Williamston, NC 27892. A Celebration of Life will take place on Saturday
