I remember bill from the JCC of Manhattan. He was charming, friendly, nice and had a good heart. He was sweet and was loved by everyone at the Jcc. I will miss him. He always asked after my husband and was so glad that I got married.

I send my heartfelt condolences to Richard, and Ellen, and Dmitri - and all members of Bill’s family. I have not met you, but I know how he cherished you, and so loved his dear Anke.

Many years ago, Anke, Bill and I worked in the American Institute of Physics, in New York City, and that is where we first met. We each worked for different organizations, which were part of the Institute, and became lifelong friends. When my dear husband Joe passed into the Light in 2003, it was Bill and Anke who offered me much needed comfort and support.

When the sad time came for Anke, Bill was with her in every way....easing her journey. And Bill told me I was one of the few people whose phone calls Anke took towards the end. She did not speak, but we communicated. Bill’s devotion to Anke was complete. In all things that Bill did, he carried them out quietly, always to help another.

Bill uplifted everyone around him, he was witty, funny, and knew how to give the best advice without pressure. How we will all miss him!

I do know he is now with his dearest Anke, and for that I feel grateful.

Thank you dear Bill.

Sorry to hear about Bill's passing. He was one of my favorite and talented classmates. A few years ago I received an inviation to visit him in northern CT, but I just never got around to schedule a visit. Please accept my sincere condolences.
